Interdisciplinary rehabilitation

For who is interdisciplinary rehabilitation?

Since 2011, an interdisciplinary rehabilitation program has been offered at the Clinique de réadaptation physique Roussillon of La Prairie. This program is intended for work and road accident victims who may be suffering or might be susceptible of suffering from persistent pain.

Clinique de réadaptation Rousillon

Program objectives

Our program seeks:

  • An active approach
  • The individual’s empowerment
  • A team work between the interdisciplinary members and the other specialists involved (rehabilitation counselor, doctor, psychologist)
  • A quick return to work

Professionnals Involved

Our team consists of:

All of these professionals have many years of practice and are particularly trained to work with a clientele who is struggling with chronic pain and whose return to work or to activities seems difficult.

The treatment’s process

By first conducting an interdisciplinary assessment of the individual’s rehabilitation potential, the team will then propose to the participant and his counselor an intervention plan tailored to the specific needs of the individual and aimed at the client optimization of his capacities.

This team of dynamic professionals will help the individuals to take charge of themselves so that they are equipped to manage their abilities, pain and energy.

A workplace visit may be needed to quickly break down the barriers in returning to work and to assist the individual in this process.

The team ensures a continuous communication with all specialists involved so everyone conveys the same message, in order to maximize the person’s rehabilitation potential
